Sony BRAVIA Setup

For Sony Professional Displays (BZ Series) running Android TV.

Step 1: Enable Pro Mode

Sony Professional displays use "Pro Mode" to unlock advanced features like auto-start and button lockout.

Activation Sequence:

Press the following buttons on the remote in order:
[Display/Info] → [Mute] → [Volume +] → [Home]

Note: Sequence may vary by model (e.g., BZ30 vs BZ40). Consult your specific model manual if this fails.

Once in Pro settings mode (blue banner at top), go to Settings > Pro settings.

Step 2: Installation

Option A: USB

  1. Download app.apk to USB.
  2. Insert USB into display.
  3. Use a File Manager app (may need to install one from Play Store first) to locate and install the APK.

Option B: Browser

  1. Open Chrome or Vewd Browser.
  2. Go to https://a.impressbox.eu/app.apk
  3. Download and Open.
  4. Allow "Install from Unknown Sources" for the browser app when prompted.

Step 3: Configuration

Set Initial Input Source

This ensures impressBox starts automatically when the TV turns on.

  • Go to Pro settings.
  • Select Initial Input Source.
  • Select Android App.
  • Choose impressBox from the list.

Finalize

Return to the main Pro Mode menu and select Start Pro Mode to lock the settings and reboot the TV into usage mode.
